The Toddler Community at North-Eastern Montessori School has been specifically designed to cater for children from 15 months to 3 years of age. It is a specialist program offering high quality experiences in a small, warm, and comforting community designed to offer the very best for your toddler.
Our Early Childhood professionals are trained to respond to the diverse needs of our youngest students and to guide and support their individual learning profile. Our goal is to empower parents to feel confident in sharing their journey as a parent, and self-assured in the learning experiences of your child.
The objectives of learning within our Toddler Community are to:
- Foster independence and self-direction in thinking and activities.
- Facilitate social adjustment with peers.
- Encourage self-expression and creativity.
- Develop concentration through purposeful activity.
- Provide an environment which will enrich and broaden your child’s experience and encourage them to explore and learn.
Children joining the North-Eastern Toddler Community attend a minimum of two days per week with our Toddler Community open Monday to Friday from 7.30am – 6.30pm, for a minimum of 48 weeks per calendar year. There is a short period of closure over the Christmas break and on School Curriculum Days. Our Toddler Community remains open during term holiday breaks.
The Toddler Community at North-Eastern provides all daily need provisions including, but not limited to, nappies, nappy wipes, fruit and milk.
Families with a child in our Toddler Community can claim Child Care Subsidy (CCS) on fees.
From the Toddler Community, most families choose for their child to progress to our Cycle 1 program.
