North-Eastern Montessori School is excited to announce that we are planning for the introduction of our Middle Years Program in 2026, commencing with our first cohort of Year 7 students.
The Middle Years Program will cater to the physical, mental and social needs of adolescents, offering a rigorous curriculum focused on real-life experiential learning. Our Montessori approach is known for prioritising student autonomy, catering to individual needs and strengths, and nurturing relationships between students and educators, as well as building a cohesive, and co-operative learning community.
Our aim as a School is to create an environment where students love to learn, a place where they feel accepted and welcomed for who they are.

Middle Years Pedagogy and Curriculum Focus
The focus of the pedagogy and curriculum in the Middle Years is civic, ethical and social development as well as the adolescent’s adaptation to the demands of the changing natural and human world. It integrates intellectual and moral development, creative expression and the academic disciplines, giving students the opportunity to apply discipline knowledge, judgement and creative skills to problem solving in projects that require physical activity, ethical choices, self-expression and abstract application of interdisciplinary knowledge.
